• moss, ferns and fungis grow well
  
• some fungis can be very poisonous
• many exotic and beautiful flowers
  
• mangrove species can be found in rainforests

• near the Equator
• in south and central America is the Amazon rainforest (Brazil and Peru)
• Daintree rainforest North Queensland (Australia)
• there are some rainforests in Africa and Asia
• rainforests cover only a small amount of the earth's surface
